SUMMIT OF MT. BALINGKILAT, ZAMBALES, JUNE 2015
EARLY SUMMER MORNING AT THE PEAK OF MT. TALOMO, DAVAO DEL SUR
The views up there are various windows of what life is all about. Up there, there is peace and hope... bringing inner joy and strength to face the challenges of worldly life.
SUMMIT OF MT. MASARAGA, LIGAO CITY, ALBAY
I started to love climbing mountains in 1993 when hiking activities were incorporated in one environmental congress that I attended. That time, there was an unusual feeling of enticement and connection with mountains... as if I was mystically charmed. However, due to board exam review, graduate studies, work and eventually series of projects, I decided to set aside this 'life' until one day I was invited by Rev. Fr. Isagani Aveniante to climb Mt. Cristobal... the experience gave me a chance to look back on my past outdoor adventures and look ahead for more ventures! Since then, I decided to devote a lot more steps of my earthly journey to retreat from the bustling city life... to find myself up there again and again.
CAMP SITE- AGUINGAY LAKE, BULUSAN VOLCANO, SORSOGON
After more chances of intimate experiences with rough terrains, I realized that this thing is not just a simple adventure, a hobby or a test of endurance! Roughness of terrain is not a sign of difficulties but of connective dynamism and unending network of life's generosity. Mountains were there as manifestation of something great and special...
Climb, discover it!
Climb, discover it!
